If you made up your mind to travel with the kids and want it to be successful, we’ve got some advice that may help!
Much of the success consists in involving the little ones in the preparation of the trip: tell them about the place you are going to visit, curious or funny customs, places that you will visit… The anticipation of what they are going to discover will make them get excited about the trip, and then when they see all the things you have talked about, they will enjoy them more.
When making plans, try to avoid very tight schedules and always leave some free time to rest, play with the children on the beach or go to a park for a while. We must alternate the plans of adults with those for the kids. This is especially important if you are traveling with very young children who get tired of everything soon.
Find out what activities and workshops are organized in your destination. Also search what museums, water parks, amusement parks, zoos and other sites that may be fun for children there in the area. In the Costa Dorada, for example, there are several destinations such as Cambrils, Salou or La Pineda that are specialized in family tourism and have the certification of Family Tourism Destination . This means that both beaches and other areas of the city have many play areas and are suitable for children.
To travel with family, the most comfortable option is to rent an apartment that allows you to have the maximum possible space. So children can have their own bedroom and areas to play quietly. Having your own kitchen, washing machine and no schedule restrictions as in hotels is also a great help!
