This is the beach furthest north of Cambrils and borders the neighboring town of Salou. A long stretch of sand of about 1.2 km long is bordered by the beautiful promenade. The beach has plenty of places to rent chairs, beach umbrellas, excellent services and facilities such as toilets, showers and restaurants. Although it is usually busy because it’s near the center of Salou, this is still a good option for families to enjoy.
2. Vilafortuny Beach
You can find the Vilafortuny beach in the urbanization withthe same name, halfway between the towns of Cambrils and Salou. This large sandy Blue Flag awarded beach has very good facilities such as showers every few meters, playgrounds, restaurants, bars, as well as the possibility to rent chairs and sun screens. The sand here tends to be thicker, because before the summer it gets filled in with quarry sand. The sand here is not the best in Cambrils, but it makes up for the sand with serenity and peace that you can find in this area of Cambrils. The most restless can take a pleasant walk to the Castle Vilafortuny, located about 400m from the beach. It is a beautiful XI century castle that although it is closed to the public can be admired from the outside. You can observe its great walls, towers and balconies. Everything is very well conserved. We recommend to go to this beach early in the morning to be able to find a parking spot closeby.
